Our Casting Services

Warsaw Foundry is a Gray and Ductile Iron Foundry that pours quality iron castings. Our 5000 lb. induction furnace feeds three automatic green sand matchplate mold machines and a conventional matchplate line. Flask sizes on our automatic machines are 14×19 and 20×24. Our conventional molding line supports various flask sizes and deeper draw items that are not supported by automatic machines. Our conventional line is for low-volume jobs and allows customers to utilize older tooling that would normally be remounted to a plate that would fit an automatic flask.

We pour quality iron castings in Gray Iron (Classes 25, 30, 35, 40) and Ductile Iron (60-40-18, 65-45-12, 80-55-06). Temperatures and chemistries are monitored at the furnace and temperatures are again taken at the line before molds are poured. Brinell Hardness tests are performed in-house, and Ductile Iron pass/fail tests are performed prior to any molds being poured. Additionally, wedges are poured every ladle in ductile iron and tested for ductility. Nodularity tests are performed on random samples for proper inoculation and formation of spheroidal graphite.

Warsaw Foundry is ISO 9001:2015 certified Gray and Ductile Iron Foundry.

Additionally, Warsaw Foundry produces Shell Core and Oil Core in-house, and Isocure Cores are outsourced from a local supplier.
